SIM Registration Act Basics
SIM Registration Act is a SIM Registration law which was implemented on December 27, 2022 to fight against online scam and spams or other frauds. It follows Republic Act No. 11934 under which users have to register their Prepaid, Postpaid SIMs mandatory in Philippines.
All the locals who are living in Philippines or in Foreign and using TM SIM will have to register their SIMs and it’s mandatory.
TM Tambayan supports the sim registration act which is implemented by the Philippines Government by giving them funds for assistance. As a result, the government has captured many online spam and scams.
SIM Registration Law is effective in Philippines to stop scam and spam texts. TM Tamayan blocks spam texts too. It is an effective but not completely. As National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) states that the law is not a “silver bullet” for stopping text and messaging scams it means it cant stop fully online spam and scam but assisting fully to stop.
Yes a person who gives Fake ID / false info during sim registration will be punished for 6 months–2 years prison with a fine of ₱300,000. If somebody violates the law again and again can be fined up to ₱4 million
SIM Registration Process & Requirements
You need to start the SIM Registration process right after you buy the sim so that you sim should not expire. You can see the expiry data of the SIM behind the SIM Card Packet.
You can register your sim anywhere in the world but keep in mind you should have mandatory required documents and ID card to register a SIM.
The deadline for the existing TM users was extended to April 26, 2023 and now its passed. So people who didn’t register their SIMs on time can’t reactivate their SIMs again.
Your SIM will be deactivated. If your sim gets expired and you don’t register your SIM you can not use all the services like call, texts and internet.
Before the expiration date you must register your SIM. The expiration date is written on the back of the SIM Packet when you buy a new TM SIM.
Yes, the registration process for every sim in the Philippines is free.
Special SIM Registration Conditions
The persons/children whose age below 18 are considered as minors and they can register their sims under their parent’s or legal guardian’s ID card.
Yes it’s mandatory to process the sim registration process from scratch because you will be considered a new user of TM Network.

Yes, you can register more than one TM SIM and process is same you just need to give authentic legal documents and ID card as per requirements.
These are the conditions you must inform TM Tambayan Official about changes in your SIM’s status If:

SIM Activation, Expiry & Technical Issues
You should contact official staff for TM Customer Services and they will guide you what to do next so that your SIM working properly.
When your SIM gets deactivated you cant use load and registered promos anymore.
No, once your old number SIM deactivated you cant recover your old number back again. So always register your sim on time.
You should contact TM Official immediately to avoid any problem in future. You can contact through TM Messenger chatbot by searching TM Tambayan on facebook you will have to give them name, address, birthday, and mobile number. They will give you new sim with same number. Otherwise you can go to the nearest Globe/TM Store and report about lost phone.
You have to update your details in those apps yourself.
Try to enable airplane mode in your Phone then disable it and restart your phone if you still can’t receive OTP. Go to the place where TM SIM works fast otherwise Contact TM Official for the help.
Data Privacy & Verification
Yes, TM Tambayan follows Philippine’s SIM law that says all SIM data must stay private and cannot be shared without permission or court order. So your data stays safe and private.
It is kind of the record that you have proceeded with sim registration already and you can give it to TM Officials as a proof in future you face any issue related to sim registration.
